Spring 2026 Shoe Releases Worth Watching
Runner Toolkit · March 5, 2026gearshoesnew-releases
Spring is prime time for running shoe releases, and 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most competitive seasons in years. Here are the shoes we're most excited about.
Daily Trainers
Brooks Ghost Max 4 Brooks continues to refine the Ghost Max, which has become one of the most popular max-cushion daily trainers. The v4 gets a slightly updated midsole geometry and improved upper breathability. If you liked the 3, you'll love this.
Skechers Aero Burst 2 Skechers keeps quietly making excellent running shoes. The Aero Burst 2 features their HyperBurst+ foam and a lower price point than most competitors. Don't sleep on this one.
Racing Shoes
Saucony Endorphin Speed 6 The Speed line has been our go-to recommendation for runners buying their first fast shoe, and the v6 doesn't mess with the formula. Updated PWRRUN PB foam, refreshed upper, same versatile nylon plate.
Saucony Endorphin Elite 3 For serious racers, the Elite 3 pushes Saucony's carbon plate tech further with a new full-length carbon plate and lighter overall weight. Early reviews are promising.
Brooks Hyperion Elite 6 Brooks' race-day shoe gets a significant update with new DNA Flash foam and a redesigned carbon plate. They're clearly targeting the Vaporfly and Adios Pro crowd.
Trail
Brooks Cascadia Elite A new entry in the premium trail racing space. Carbon plate in a trail shoe is still relatively uncommon, and Brooks is betting runners want that speed advantage off-road too.
Brooks Ghost Trail 2 For trail runners who want Ghost-level comfort on dirt. Not a racing shoe. This is about comfortable miles on groomed trails.
When They Drop
Most of these are hitting stores between March and May 2026. We'll update our Shoe Finder with full specs and recommendations as each shoe becomes available.
