Adidas Ultraboost 5X

The running-focused sibling of the Ultraboost 5, launched alongside it in August 2024 with a Light Boost midsole, 38mm stack, and a noticeably lighter build than past Ultraboosts. A smooth, versatile crossover for daily miles, walking, and travel that finally made the Ultraboost line credible for running again. Serious runners still have better pure-performance options, and the knit upper runs very warm.

Who it's for

Reach for the Adidas Ultraboost 5X for everyday training miles and easy recovery days. It's a neutral shoe, best for runners with an efficient stride who don't need pronation support. The tall, soft stack favors comfort over ground feel. That's great for high mileage and bigger runners, less so for racing snappiness.
