Adidas Supernova Prima 2
The second generation of the top-tier Supernova trainer, a maximalist cushioned daily shoe with good energy return and inherent stability, released January 2026. It sits above the Rise 3 for runners who want more foam for long, easy miles, and trims about 6% of its predecessor's weight. It is still no tempo shoe, and it lacks the excitement of the Evo SL at the same price tier.
Reach for the Adidas Supernova Prima 2 for everyday training miles, long runs and easy recovery days. It's a neutral shoe, best for runners with an efficient stride who don't need pronation support. The tall, soft stack favors comfort over ground feel. That's great for high mileage and bigger runners, less so for racing snappiness.
- Plush max cushioning with stable manners
- Good energy return for a non-plated trainer
- Comfortable for long easy miles
- Still over 9 oz, not a light shoe
- Dull at faster paces
